Rob Schiff covers sports for 41NBC.

Born and raised in New York City, Rob has been a sports fan for as long as he can remember. Some of his favorite childhood memories are going to Mets games.

Rob was a solid high school baseball player, but he knew playing professionally was not likely to be his path. Instead, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2004 — a decision he calls the best he ever made. He spent five years traveling the world and was deployed to Iraq in 2007.

His second-best decision was turning his passion for sports into a full-time career. Rob earned his master’s degree from Syracuse University in 2017 and began his local television career at WBOY in Clarksburg, West Virginia. He also spent two years in San Luis Obispo, California, and most recently served as sports director at WKBT, the NBC affiliate in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Rob is excited to continue his journey in Middle Georgia, a region known for some of the best high school football in the country. He looks forward to highlighting local athletes and coaches while sharing their stories with the community and beyond.

He is also excited to bring his authentic and engaging personality to the Peach State, connect with the people of Macon and become a trusted figure in the community. Rob believes trust is one of the most important pillars of journalism, and he is committed to upholding that trust every chance he gets.

When he’s not at the station, Rob can most likely be found at the gym or the supermarket. Be sure to say hello.
