Baldwin Braves hoping for bounce-back season in 2026

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Baldwin High School football team won a playoff game against West Laurens in 2024, and the Braves are looking to make an even deeper run in 2026.

Head Coach Kevin Patterson is entering his third year at Baldwin, and one word he used to sum up camp so far was “competitive.” With more than 60 players on the field, the Braves are looking to return to playoff after just a 4-win season in 2025.

“When you have 60 guys coming here ready to work, it’s just getting better every day so I like where we’re at,” Patterson said.

“I feel like practice is a very important thing, and it’s a good reason why we’re gonna be one of the best teams in state this year,” Junior quarterback Kamden Patterson added.

“I feel like we’re ready right now,” Junior receiver and safety Jerlioundus Armstrong said. “We’re gonna carry over the same energy from now until the game in three weeks, and we’re ready.”

We’ll see just how ready the Braves are when they clash with Washington County on Aug. 21.
