Cooke beats rest of celebrity waiters at Appetites for Advocacy event
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -Some Macon celebrities traded in their day jobs for a night of waiting tables, and it’s all for charity.
Bibb County District Attorney David Cooke and the mayor’s wife, Dele Reichert, were just a few of the celebrity waiters at Cheddar’s Tuesday night. It’s the third annual “Appetites for Advocacy” event, designed to raise money for the Crisis Line and Safe House of Central Georgia.
For the third straight year, Cooke raised more money than the rest of the waiters. On top of the donations, Verizon Wireless also wrote a check for $15,000.
