MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – While all of Middle Georgia will see a wet Tuesday evening, only some parts of the region have a good chance for rain Wednesday.

The Rest of the Evening

Scattered showers and storms are likely around Middle Georgia this evening as the cold front arrives and slows down. No severe weather is expected, however thunder and lightning are fair game with any storms that roll through. Low temperatures will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s for most of the region tonight. Winds will be calm and variable, however gusts could still reach as high as 20-25 mph.

Tomorrow

The “slowing down” cold front will ultimately stall out and become a stationary front on Wednesday. Where exactly that will happen cannot be predicted at this time, it will likely fall somewhere in the southeastern part of Middle Georgia. This will lead to mostly sunny skies for at least the northwestern half of the region tomorrow afternoon. Those spots will likely climb into the mid to upper 70s in the afternoon. Winds will come from the north at about 5-10 mph, gusting between 15-25 mph.

Those further south will continue to see clouds and scattered showers and storms. Temperatures will be cooler as a result of the wet weather. Expect winds to be out of the south until the front completes its pass overnight into Thursday. Low temperatures will range from the mid 40s into the mid 50s as a result of the stationary front split.

Thursday and Beyond

Thursday will be partly sunny with a slim chance for a shower early on. Friday and into Easter Weekend are looking warm and sunny at this time.
