Walmart shoplifting suspect pulls knife on security officer

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Walmart loss prevention officer had a knife held to his neck early Saturday morning, as he questioned two people suspected of shoplifting.

It happened at the Walmart store at 6020 Harrision Road.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, loss prevention officers were questioning 30-year old Kelli Melissa Nickels of Gray and 32-year old Cameron Stanley Dickerson of Gordon, when Dickerson pulled a knife and put it to an officer’s neck.  The officer was cut when he fought to get away from Dickerson.  Bibb County deputies later chased and arrested him on Eisenhower Parkway, near Harrison Road.

Kelli Nickels faces charges for shoplifting.  Cameron Dickerson is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, obstruction, and criminal trespass.

Paramedics treated the loss prevention officer at the store.
