UPDATE: 3 in custody after teen killed in Macon shooting
UPDATE: A third person was arrested Friday in connection to the shooting Thursday night that resulted in a 17-year-old’s death.

A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release says investigators and the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Xavier Jamal Lewis of Macon. He was taken to the Bibb County Jail in connection to the homicide investigation. He is charged with murder and being held without bond.
UPDATE: Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested a second suspect, 22-year-old Dalton Lee Spires, in connection with the homicide of 17-year-old Joe Woolfolk.
Further investigation determined that the shooting involved a drug transaction. The investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
Spires was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Murder and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana. He’s being held without bond.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County deputies say the 16-year-old victim involved in a Thursday night shooting on Winston Drive, is responsible for the death of 17-year-old Joe Woolfolk.
Deputies say 16-year-old Jieyre Chavis-Moore is being charged as an adult.
Deputies took Chavis-Moore to the Macon Regional Youth Detention Center and charged him with murder.
