Shoplifting suspect sends Bibb deputies on high speed chase
Deputies found the vehicle of 27-year-old Christopher Cornelius at Eisenhower Parkway and Pio Nono Avenue.
Cornelius led deputies on a high speed chase that ended on Hines Terrace after he hit a park car. He exited the vehicle and sent deputies on a foot pursuit before he was caught.
Cornelius was also involved in a previous shoplifting incident at the same location. He was arrested and charged with theft by shoplifting, willful obstruction of a law enforcement officer, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer for a felony offense, criminal damage to property, multiple traffic offenses, aggressive driving, burglary and a probation violation.
