Restaurant Report Card: Fatz Cafe
“(They’re) marinated in buttermilk for 24 hours before we ever think about cooking it,” said server Candis Wilburn.
Before we do that, here’s a restaurant that needs to step it up this week..
Miller’s Soul Food at 115 S. Lawrence Street in Dublin scored a 67.
The person in charge was not familiar with the employee health policy, they didn’t have hot water running to the employee handwashing sink, the pies were sitting out at 66 degrees, and there was grease dripping from the vent hood.
Hopefully all of this will be corrected soon–I’ll keep you updated on that.
Other scores this week can be found here.
Fatz Cafe tops them all with their health inspection, and they’re definitely at the top of the scale in service too.
“Yeah, they wait on you they check on her and us and we like to eat here, one of our favorite girl places,” said customer Linda Harridge.
It’s bound to be one of your favorite places–guy or girl.
The menu is American-style good stuff.
And of course that 100 on the health inspection should only give you more reason to enjoy Fatz.
“The kitchen is always guest ready, if anyone wanted to walk through out kitchen, just let me know and we’ll walk back there, you know we’re always ready,” said manager Brooke Dobson. “It’s very important for health reasons and keeping all of your temperatures right and it’s very important.”
Important for sure, and the Calabash Chicken at Fatz Cafe on Watson Boulevard is definitely making the grade this week.
Fatz is located at 2715 Watson Boulevard, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
