Restaurant Report Card: Fair Edition
More than 100 vendors, and they all had to pass their health inspections with scores of 100–that’s pretty impressive.
This restaurant, though, didn’t do so well–it needs to step it up.
Shane’s Rib Shack on Watson Boulevard in Warner Robins scored a 78.
The place to wash your hands wasn’t supplied or accessible, their employees personal cleanliness wasn’t where it needs to be, and they didn’t have their permit, health score, or choking danger poster up for everyone to see.
Other scores this week were a lot better:
Down Home Country Kitchen on Houston Road scored a 100.
Fincher’s Barbecue and Catering on Houston Road scored a 95.
H&H on Forsyth Street scored a 90.
Hot Wings Plus on Pio Nono Avenue scored a 98.
J and F Caribbean Delight on North Atwood Drive scored a 95.
Johnny V’s on Rocky Creek Road scored a 99.
Johnny’s New York Style Pizza on Zebulon Road scored a 98.
Moon’s Wings and Deli on Hartley Bridge Road scored an 89.
Sparks Deli Wings and Cafe scored a 98.
Georgia Bob’s Barbecue on Perimeter Road in Perry scored a 91.
Ichiban Hibachi Buffet on Sam Nunn Boulevard scored a 91.
Marco Ristorante Italiano on Watson Boulevard scored a 97.
My Father’s Place on Moody Road scored a 94.
Papa Wings Deli House on North Houston Road scored a 95.
So great scores again this week, but the fair is…I don’t know how else to say it…it’s the fair!
Staying clean at the fair is important.
“We want to do it right, we want repeat business, we want people to think well of us and i think they do,” said vendor Jimmy LaFratta.
People think well of the vendors–a lot of people were chomping down on some food you won’t get but once a year at the fair.
“It’s not your average food i guess, so you kind of look forward to eating all day,” said visitor Jarvis Chapman.
“It’s not every day we get to have fun at the fair,” said visitor Landon Hammond.
