Wrightsville mother arrested after son eats marijuana cake

WRIGHTSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A mother was arrested after her 5-year-old ate a marijuana cake.

According to Wrightsville Police Investigator Raymond Garner, a teacher at Johnson County Elementary School noticed the kid was acting unusual in class. When asked about his behavior he said he had eaten a cake with marijuana in it for breakfast.

When paramedics checked his pulse, the rate was at 200.

The mother, 30-year-old Shakirah Wiley, was arrested and charged with 2nd degree child cruelty and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
