Macon man facing 16 animal cruelty charges
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – One Macon man is in jail for more than a dozen animal cruelty charges and elder abuse.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, 50-year-old Timothy Dunn is facing 16 counts of animal cruelty. Deputies found several malnourished dogs and feces covering the floor at a home on Perdue Street.
Dunn’s 71-year-old mother, who initially didn’t let deputies inside the home, was also in the house and said she was OK and didn’t need any medical attention.
16 animals in total were removed from in and around the home and taken to the Macon-Bibb County Animal Shelter.
Dunn’s mother was removed from the home and placed with another family member.
