All I-16 lanes reopen after tractor-trailer overturns in Twiggs County

TWIGGS COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — All lanes of Interstate 16 in Twiggs County reopened Friday afternoon after a tractor-trailer overturned near mile marker 26, according to Facebook updates from the Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office.

An initial alert posted at 1:23 p.m. said all lanes were blocked and first responders were working at the scene. The alert also reported entrapment.

The sheriff’s office reported one lane open in each direction before announcing that all lanes had reopened.
