FVSU hires Porter as football coach
FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -Fort Valley State University has named its next head football coach.
Kevin Porter, who’s from Warner Robins, will take over for Donald Pittman, who was let go after six seasons in the Valley.
Porter played at Auburn in college before a career in the National Football League.
Since then, he’s been coaching–everywhere from Arena Football (including the Macon Knights) to college football.
FVSU will introduce Porter at a news conference Monday at 11 a.m. in the Health and Physical Education Complex lobby.
