Douglass Theatre’s digital campaign reaches a milestone
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Douglass Theatre announced it reached a milestone in its “Douglass Goes Digital” campaign.
The theatre was able to match a $50,000 grant from the Peyton Anderson foundation, which brings the total to $100,000. The goal is $130,000.
The money will be used to purchase a digital projector and to digitize the sound system, that is according to the Director of the Douglass Theatre.
“The Peyton Anderson Foundation, we love them, they have been supportive in the past, from the renovation of the Douglass Theater,” said Gina Ward. “They have been great supporters.”
Ward says they need $30,000 more to reach their goal and they are looking to the community to continue donating funds.
