Coach’s Corner: West Laurens Raiders look to make it three solid seasons in a row

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The West Laurens Raiders are coming off two straight solid seasons, and finished last year with an 8-4 record.

They culminated the season with a 31-14 playoff victory over Burke County in the first round, before losing to St. Pius X in round two, 33-14.

This is Stacy Nobles sixth season as head coach of the Raiders.


There will be some competition for the quarterback position, with current starter Austin Ramsey being pushed by several other candidates.

Returning players: running backs Darius Bradford and Isaiah Morman, wide receivers Storm Walker, Elijah Howard, and Caleb Christian.

The offensive line will have returning players Joseph Horne, Joey Knight, and Marshall Achord.


The Raiders will have seven back on defense, including starters Doryan Gorham, Jathaniel Allen, Lederrius Williams, Shundrekus Smith, and Mataio Elvine.

FIRST GAME: August 26th, versus Wayne County.
