Buying the right Christmas Tree before the holidays
BYRON, Georgia. (41NBC/WMGT) – As we get closer to the holidays, finding the right Christmas tree for your living room can be a challenge.
“Basic things you would consider, before buying a tree, prior to cutting it, is just overall body fullness. Just make sure it has the shape that you desire, and just a good straight tree and a good straight trunk,” says Mike Roberts, owner of Roberts Christmas Tree Farm.
Roberts Christmas Tree Farm is one of several Christmas tree Farms in Middle Georgia.
“The biggest difference in what we have going here in what they have to offer in the store, is here your coming to a farm, and not only are you able to choose from five different variety of Christmas Trees that we have to offer, but you also know that it’s literally cut fresh from the day you come out and choose it and you do the cutting.”
Roberts also explained when searching for the right tree, you should make sure the needles are secure and when finally choosing the best tree for you, keep up the tree’s moisture.
He says finding the best tree, “really comes down to personal preference.” He suggest choosing a tree that is manicured and shaved. He also says you should make sure the bottom of the tree is cleared so that it will fit in your water bowl stand.
