Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia suspends programming for at least 90 days
The organization has not announced a reopening date as its board reviews finances, operations and long-term viability.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia has suspended operations at all of its club sites for at least 90 days because of what the organization described as “severe operational and financial challenges.”
The organization announced the suspension Friday in a Facebook post addressed to parents and guardians. The post said the suspension took effect Monday, July 20, and includes after-school programming at all BGCCG locations.
During the initial 90-day period, the organization’s board of directors plans to review its finances and operations and evaluate whether BGCCG can remain viable long term.
The post did not provide additional details about the financial challenges or announce a reopening date.
