Bleckley deputies obtain warrants after reported limousine hit-and-run

The sheriff’s office says Biron is receiving treatment at a medical facility and will be taken into custody following his release.

BLECKLEY COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Arrest warrants have been issued for a Cochran man in connection with a reported hit-and-run collision involving a limousine, according to the Bleckley County Sheriff’s Office.

A sheriff’s office social media post Friday night said deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 87 and Highway 257 around 10 p.m. Sunday, July 19.

The post says investigators obtained warrants Friday for 56-year-old Shawn Joseph Biron of Cochran.

Biron is charged with hit-and-run, failure to render aid and failure to stop at a stop sign.

According to the post, deputies learned while attempting to serve the warrants that Biron was receiving treatment at a medical facility. The sheriff’s office says he will be taken into custody after he is released.

The sheriff’s office did not provide information about Biron’s medical condition or the circumstances surrounding the collision.
