Bibb SWAT team called out for man eluding arrest
According to a Bibb County Sheriff’s news release, 26 year-old Kameron Cadeem Taylor was taken into custody Friday. Taylor allegedly hit his girlfriend at a Waffle House on Riverside Drive around 2:30 a.m.
Bibb County sheriff’s deputies arrived at his home on Sapp Street at 9:22 a.m. to serve him with an arrest warrant.
“Taylor saw deputies as they pulled up to the residence and immediately ran into the house and locked the door,” the news release stated. “He stayed inside of the home and refused to open the door.”
Sgt. Reginald Washington spoke to Taylor by phone and was able to convince Taylor to give himself up to the SWAT team.
A neighbor gave 41NBC cell phone video of the stand off. Another neighbor, Tony Gardner, says deputies asked him to stay inside his home until the stand-off was over.
“It was probably like six or seven SWAT team came out here whatever, came and got the man out the house. I think he surrendered though,” explained Gardner.
Taylor is charged with battery family violence and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
