Band of the Week: Veterans High School

This week’s 41NBC Band of the Week spotlight shines on Veterans High School Warhawk Squadron.

Band Director Grayson Mullis and Assistant Director Katie Griffin say the students have remained committed and focused throughout the season, even while dealing with challenging weather conditions.

“The kids have been consistently coming in and putting in a lot of work,” Mullis said. “They’re doing a great job on our show.”

Griffin says the students have also shown resilience and attention to detail as they prepare for performances.

“Our students have been very resilient with all the weather challenges, and they’ve been very detail oriented this year,” Griffin said. “We’re really excited about the show we’re going to put on.”

This year’s halftime production takes audiences back to the Wild West, featuring music from How the West Was Won and The Magnificent Seven.
