Band of the Week: Stratford Academy

Brittany Dean,

This week’s 41NBC Band of the Week spotlight shines on Stratford Academy.

Directed by Lewis Watson, the production features a lineup of songs designed to celebrate confidence and self-expression, including Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way,” Icona Pop’s “I Love It” featuring Charli XCX, and the Broadway favorite “Suddenly Seymour” from Little Shop of Horrors.

“We’re very excited to bring this show to the Stratford community and the state of Georgia at large,” Watson said.

After a successful season last year, the Eagles are hoping to build on that momentum as they take the field again this year.

“We have very high hopes to repeat our first-place finishes from last season,” Watson said.

With an energetic production and a message of individuality, the Stratford Academy marching band is ready to make its mark this season.

Congratulations to Stratford Academy for being named this week’s 41NBC Band of the Week, sponsored by Young America Music Schools!
