Band of the Week: Northside High School

Brittany Dean,

This week’s 41NBC Band of the Week spotlight shines on Northside High School Blue Wind Band.

Led by Director of Bands Dr. Chuck Herron, the Eagles are celebrating a memorable year filled with exciting opportunities and achievements.

“This year, the Northside High School Band, we’re playing a show that has the music of Queen,” Herron said.

The band recently took its talents beyond Georgia, traveling to New York to march in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, where the students had the opportunity to perform on television.

Herron also expressed his appreciation for being recognized as 41NBC’s Band of the Week.

“It is my honor to accept this award as Band of the Week for 41NBC,” he said.

From performing on a national stage to entertaining fans at home, the Northside Eagles continue to make their school and community proud.

As Herron would say, it’s always great to be a Northside Eagle!

Congratulations to Northside High School for being named this week’s 41NBC Band of the Week, sponsored by Young America Music Schools!
