Attorney General investigating Milledgeville city council
A letter from Sam Olens’ office hit city attorney Jimmy Jordan’s desk on June 20th.
The letter addresses possible violations the city council may have had with Georgia’s Open Meetings Act.
Several complaints and articles from a local newspaper point out private meetings council members allegedly had outside of session, regarding the financial matters within the city.
The attorney general’s office isn’t accusing the city of violating any laws, but officials want copies of the city’s agendas, minutes, and any non-executive affidavits dating as far back as January 1, 2014.
41NBC reached out to Jordan, but we haven’t heard back.
