Atlanta Motor Speedway NASCAR race date changed to March 1

HAMPTON, Ga. (AMS RELEASE) – The 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway will be held on Sunday, March 1st and will be a daytime event.

The event weekend will include all three of NASCAR’s National touring series with a double header on Saturday that features a 200-mile Camping World Truck Series race and a 250-mile NASCAR Nationwide series race. Sprint Cup Series qualifying will be held Friday afternoon.

The Atlanta event date will move from Labor Day Weekend the second weekend of the NASCAR season following the Daytona 500.

Atlanta Motor Speedway’s 2014 NASCAR weekend includes night racing events this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
