A “suspicious death” at Value Place Motel

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man was found dead inside a Macon hotel Tuesday morning.

Bibb County investigators are now trying to figure out how he died.

The county’s deputy coroner, Lonnie Miley says the man’s name will not be released until his next of kin has been notified.

The deceased man had been staying at the Value Place Motel on Bowman Road for nearly three weeks. His body was discovered by the motel staff inside the bathtub in room 412.

“Right now we are treating it as a suspicious death until the autopsy confirms the exact cause of death,” said Miley.

Miley adds there were no visible injuries on the man’s body. The deputy coroner says the autopsy will reveal if there are any internal injuries.
