Dublin native impresses Adam Levine on “The Voice”

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Middle Georgia man showed off his pipes and impressed Adam Levine on NBC’s hit show “The Voice” Tuesday night.

Dublin native Michael Kight sang the popular Maroon 5 song, “Sugar” during the blind audition round. Levine, one of the show’s judges and the lead singer of Maroon 5, turned his chair around about halfway through the audition.

The 25-year-old Dublin native will be on Levine’s team this season.

Kight’s current city on his official NBC bio is Los Angeles. His entire bio reads:

“Michael grew up in a Southern household and is a soul/R&B artist. His father raised him on Motown, Lionel Richie, the Commodores, Elvis and Johnny Cash, and bought him a guitar when he was 12. Michael, who is a big fan of Maroon 5 since the album Songs About Jane, moved to Nashville where he became well-known playing guitar and singing back-up vocals for other artists. After several years of being a sideman, Michael is ready to begin his career as a front man and he hopes to do it on The Voice.”
