Former Mayor to discuss recent shootings in Macon
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Former Mayor C. Jack Ellis will be speaking about the recent shootings in Macon at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
A 14-year-old Southwest High School cheerleader died after being hit multiple times in a drive-by shooting Sunday night. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office believes it was gang related and said the victim’s brother is a gang member. There was another shooting the same night. Deputies said it was directly connected to the first shooting.
A 17-year-old was arrested for a shooting Monday night in North Macon. Bibb deputies said the 16-year-old victim was shot at a home in Lake Wildwood.
