Arkansas Beats Georgia 8-3 In SEC Game
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) – Jimmy Bosco hit a grand-slam home run in the third inning to help lead Arkansas to an 8-3 victory over Georgia in Southeastern Conference play.
The Razorbacks (23-7, 6-5 SEC) only trailed once – 1-0 – after the Bulldogs’ Kevin Ruiz hit a sacrifice homer in the second inning on Saturday. Arkansas rallied in the third on RBIs by Jacob Mahan and Bosco, and took the advantage for good.
Bosco finished 1-for-5 and Tim Carver added two RBIs for Arkansas. Ruiz and Levi Hyams had one RBI each for the Bulldogs (19-12, 5-6).
Brandon Moore (3-0) allowed four hits and one run in 3 1-3 innings in the win for Arkansas.
Starter Michael Palazzone (0-4) allowed six hits and five runs in four innings for Georgia.
