Three Flock camera queries under review in Bibb County
The sheriff’s office has not identified the deputies or described the searches that triggered the administrative investigations.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says its Internal Affairs Unit is reviewing three Flock camera system queries flagged by the platform’s auditing algorithm.
The deputies connected to those queries have been denied access to the Flock system during the administrative investigations, according to a news release Monday.
The sheriff’s office did not identify the deputies, say how many are involved, describe the queries or say when they happened. No policy violations or misuse have been confirmed. No deputies have been fired or placed on administrative leave in connection with the reviews.
The sheriff’s office says it audits Flock camera activity every 30 days to identify possible violations of its internal policies.
The sheriff’s office says it will take administrative or legal action if the investigations confirm misconduct and will publicly release any confirmed findings of misuse.
