Man in critical condition after being found shot on Riverside Drive

Bibb deputies say the 56-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound Saturday afternoon in the 3900 block of Riverside Drive.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A 56-year-old man is in critical condition after a shooting on Riverside Drive, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said in a news release the shooting happened just before 5 p.m. Saturday in the 3900 block of Riverside Drive.

Deputies responded after receiving reports of a person shot and found a 56-year-old man with a gunshot wound.

Paramedics took the man to a local hospital for treatment. Medical staff listed him in critical condition, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office says the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
