Warner Robins man sentenced to 30 years for cocaine trafficking
Prosecutors say investigators found nearly a kilogram of cocaine during a search of the home.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Warner Robins man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to trafficking cocaine.
According to a Houston County District Attorney’s Office news release, 51-year-old Gregory Ford pleaded guilty Monday in Houston County Superior Court just before his jury trial was set to begin.
Chief Judge Katherine K. Lumsden sentenced Ford to 30 years, with the first 25 years to be served in prison, along with a $1 million fine, according to the release.
Prosecutors say the Warner Robins Police Department’s Narcotics Intelligence Unit began investigating Ford in June 2024 after receiving information from confidential informants that he was selling narcotics from a home on Margaret Drive.
Investigators conducted several controlled buys at the home before obtaining arrest and search warrants, the release said.
During a search of the home in July 2024, officers found more than 950 grams of cocaine, nearly 40 grams of marijuana and about $1,000 in cash. The amount of cocaine qualified as trafficking under Georgia law.
According to the district attorney’s office, Ford had three prior felony convictions related to drug offenses at the time of his sentencing.
“The defendant’s criminal history makes clear that he has been given prior opportunities to change course and has chosen instead to continue dealing narcotics,” District Attorney Eric Edwards said. “That pattern is exactly what our office and our law enforcement partners are working to disrupt.”
