UPDATE: Woman, child identified after fatal crash on I-75 S in Bibb County
The crash on Interstate 75 South near Sardis Church Road was reported just after 4:30 p.m.

UPDATE (2/18 – 9:35 pm.) – Bibb County Deputy Coroner Luann Stone identified the two people killed in a crash on Interstate 75 South on Wednesday as 61-year-old Joann White and 1-year-old Zion Thomas, both of Warner Robins.
Stone told 41NBC Thomas would have turned two on April 22. She said White was Thomas’ grandmother.
UPDATE (2/18 – 8:50 p.m.): Georgia State Patrol has released new details about the fatal crash on Interstate 75 South near mile marker 153.
According to GSP, the crash happened around 4:33 p.m. and involved four vehicles traveling in the left lane: a Chevrolet van, a Ford F-150, a Toyota Corolla and a Ford F-350 commercial vehicle.
Troopers say the Ford F-350 struck the Toyota in the rear. The Toyota then hit the Ford F-150, which then struck the Chevrolet van.
GSP says the driver of the Toyota and a 1-year-old boy inside the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger of the Toyota, the driver of the F-150 and the passenger of the F-350 were taken to Atrium Health Navicent with injuries.
Members of the Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team responded to assist with the investigation.
No further details have been released.
As of 8:45 p.m., GDOT’s 511GA website showed three left lanes remained blocked with an anticipated event end time of 10:30 p.m.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two people were killed in a crash on Interstate 75 South in Bibb County Wednesday afternoon, according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
Jones, who said the crash happened near Sardis Church Road, told 41NBC a 61-year-old woman and a 2-year-old boy were pronounced dead at the scene. He said a 33-year-old woman was taken to an emergency room for treatment.
He did not have additional details.
According to GDOT’s 511GA website, the crash was reported at 4:35 p.m. As of 6:10 p.m., the three left lanes are blocked.
