Warner Robins police arrested two people after a stabbing incident Thursday night led to a prolonged standoff with a suspect inside a residence.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Warner Robins police arrested two people after a stabbing Thursday night led to a prolonged standoff with a suspect inside a home.
Officers were called to a home in the 500 block of King Richard Drive around 10:40 p.m. on January 8 in reference to a stabbing. When they arrived, they found 23-year-old Kearstin Gregory suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen.
Gregory was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is currently listed in stable condition.
Police say 28-year-old Joshua Phillips remained inside the home and refused to come out. Officers also learned that 23-year-old Breanna Durant and two children were inside the home at the time.
Due to the nature of the incident and the presence of others in the residence, the Crisis Negotiations Team and SWAT were called in to help de-escalate the situation.
After more than four hours of negotiations, Phillips was taken into custody around 2:58 a.m. without further incident.
Phillips is charged with aggravated assault, obstruction and outstanding warrants. Durant is charged with hindering apprehension and two counts of second-degree cruelty to children.
Police say the incident was not domestic-related, noting that Gregory and Phillips are friends or acquaintances.
The Warner Robins Police Department says the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
