Warming shelters open in Macon and Warner Robins as temperatures drop into 20s
Shelters at Haven Hope House in Warner Robins and Brookdale Resource Center in Macon are providing warm spaces and assistance as temperatures fall below freezing.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – With overnight lows expected to dip into the 20s, warming shelters are opening in Warner Robins and Macon to help residents stay safe from the cold.
In Warner Robins, the Haven Hope House at 79 Green Street will open Monday, November 10, and Tuesday, November 11, beginning at 5 p.m. each evening. The shelter will remain open until 8 a.m. the following morning.
City officials say a bus will depart at 6 p.m. to help transport those in need to the shelter. Anyone who needs transportation can contact Brian Wise at (478) 538-5115. Additional warming shelters are available at No Limit Baptist Church at 1352 Radio Loop and Word of Life Worship Center at 801 Carl Vinson Parkway in Centerville.
In Macon, the United Way of Central Georgia says the Brookdale Resource Center is allowing guests in the Hello House to extend their stay until temperatures rise. The center is also offering warm clothing to residents.
