The new week has started off rather cold and windy thanks to a cold front that passed through Sunday. Highs today largely only reached the upper 40s and lower 50s and it will only continue to get colder tonight. Powerful winds from the northwest are bringing a blast of arctic air to the Peach State. Gusts overnight may still reach as high as 17 mph. Lows will drop below 30 across the region with a few spots possibly dropping below 25. Citizens in the coldest locations may consider dripping their faucets just in case to avoid potential plumbing damage. A Freeze Warning is in effect until 10:00 AM tomorrow morning.

Wind will shift out of the southwest, however, the first step in the warming process for the rest of the week.
