WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – This month marks the one-year anniversary of the Emory Hospital Warner Robins.

CEO Kevin Splaine tells 41NBC the first year has been fulfilling and busy. He to improve patient care, the hospital implemented a new electronic heath record, that shares information with other Emory facilities in Atlanta.

“A couple of months ago we opened a new transplant clinic. So, the transplant teams in Atlanta can now, fully participate in-person and virtually with people here. These are all services that, by in large, required people to go to Atlanta more than they need to. If we can have that seamless environment, so were really excited about where we are right now,” said Splaine.

Due to past delayed response times, the hospital has also improved emergency response times.

We’ve added six ambulances, two quick response vehicles, we’ve enhanced staffing and paramedics, and EMT’s,” he said. “A year ago, the response times for calling 911 and an ambulance showing up was, averaging over 20 minutes; which is a long time, too long. Today, were better than the nation benchmark of 10 minutes.

According to Splaine, Emory is currently looking to expand its staff due to the positive response and satisfied visitors.

“Just like all other health systems at this point, to be able to be fully staffed for the patients we have. We’ve made investments not only in people, but their rates of pay, but their benefits. So, our hope is, if anyone out there want to join our growing health system in Central Georgia, were the place to come, and there’s more of a bright future here than ever before,” said Splaine.

He says Emory Healthcare will continue to serve Middle Georgia for many years to come.
