Man in critical condition after overnight shooting on Mercer Street in Macon

The shooting was reported to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at 10:05 p.m. in the 3800 block of Mercer Street.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that critically injured a 43-year-old man Saturday night.

According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, the shooting was reported to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at 10:05 p.m. in the 3800 block of Mercer Street. Deputies responded to the scene after receiving a call about a person shot.

Paramedics took the man to a hospital. Medical staff said he is in critical condition, according to the release.
