Elderly man dies after being struck by vehicle in garage, according to Perry Police

Perry Police say an elderly man was killed after being struck by a vehicle inside a garage on Sunday.

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An elderly man was killed after being struck by a vehicle inside a garage on Sunday.

According to a Perry Police Department news release, it happened in the 1100 block of Lovely Lane. Police say an elderly family member was trying to move a vehicle out of the garage and accidentally shifted it into drive instead of reverse. The vehicle struck the man, who later died at Perry Hospital.

Police did not identify the victim.
