MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A cold front that brought a few storms early Monday will not bring any drop to temperatures around Middle Georgia.

This Evening

While a couple of small, isolated showers will remain possible through the early evening, skies for much of the region will be mostly sunny. Clear skies are expected overnight with low temperatures in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Winds will be out of the north-northwest around 5 mph.

Tomorrow

Skies will be sunny Tuesday save for scattered cumulus clouds that fill in during the heat of the afternoon. Highs will reach the upper 90s and lower 100s around Middle Georgia with gentle winds coming in from the north around 5 mph. Those winds will do very little to cool anyone spending time outdoors. Sunscreen, water, and breaks in the shade are a must for folk working outdoors.

Overnight skies will be mostly clear with lows again expected in the lower 70s for most of the region. Winds will become light and variable following the sunset.

Wednesday and Beyond

Wednesday will see partly sunny skies and highs again in the low triple digits for much of Middle Georgia. An isolated shower or two will be possible in the late afternoon as humidity begins to uptick with the wind becoming more southerly come Wednesday afternoon. This will lead to stickier conditions for the late week as isolated afternoon storm odds rise. It will also drop afternoon highs back into the upper 90s, but it likely will only feel hotter as the humidity continues to rise.
