Macon-Bibb County announces new name for amphitheater
Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top set to perform inaugural concert in March of 2024

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The new amphitheater in Macon officially has a name.
Macon-Bibb County and OVG360 announced Tuesday a naming rights partnership with Atrium Health. The amphitheater will be known as the Atrium Health Amphitheater. It’s set to open with performances from Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top on March 24, 2024.
“There were a lot of folks wanting to be the top sponsor,” Macon-Bibb County Mayor Lester Miller said.
No details have been released on how much Atrium Health paid for the naming rights, but Atrium Health Navicent President and CEO Delvecchio Finley says the healthcare provider is looking to offer free community based events such as Movies in the Park, Food Truck Fests, local live music nights and non-profit programming, in addition to the large ticked concerts the venue will host.
“Music is a great way to bring people together, and we know that strong social relationships have been associated with improved physical and mental health,” he said. “Atrium Health Navicent has a more than 125-year history of investing in the holistic health and well-being of our community, making it a better place to live, work and play. We’re proud to continue to support west Macon and provide additional opportunities for people from across the region to come together, improve health, elevate hope and advance healing for all.”
The partnership will also include an exclusive donation program to benefit the central and south Georgia community.
“The excitement is building here in Macon,” OVG360 General Manager David Aiello said. “We’re nearing the final phase of construction and have secured a stellar lineup of opening shows. We look forward to welcoming the region to Atrium Health Amphitheater.”
In addition to Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top, Atrium Health Amphitheater has already announced five other shows:
