Motorcyclist dies after chase, crash on I-75 South in Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A chase on I-75 South in Monroe County ends with one man dead.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies tried stopping a man driving a motorcycle going 92 miles per hour on the interstate around 8:30 Sunday night. The driver didn’t stop.

Deputies chased the driver until he lost control in the curve, south of the Rumble Road exit. He hit the guardrail and was ejected from the motorcycle.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash.
