Women League of Voters encourages everyone to make informed vote
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – “We are a thinking, intelligent people, and we can do the research,” said Macon-Bibb Chapter of the Women League of Voters President Adah Roberts.
The Presidential election is certainly on people’s minds as November 8th nears.
“We can find out: is this really what we want?” said Roberts.
None more than Roberts.
“We don’t need these little sidebar things,” said Roberts. We need to know how are you going to handle it when you hit a crisis in the Middle East? How are you going to take care of that? What is your relationship with Russia and how will you take care of Putin?”
Those are just some of the issues Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have explain to voters.
They’ll have the chance Wednesday night at the final debate.
Nana Kratochvil (Krat-o-vell) will make sure she’s paying attention.
“I’m going to watch the debate because I think I should,” said Roberts. ” I have no idea what will happen. I think the last debate sank us in terms of politics as low as we’ve ever been. I hope we don’t go any lower tonight.”
Roberts hopes for some straightforward answers.
“I don’t want to see more of the rudeness and interruptions and getting off on sidebars as opposed to answering the question,” said Roberts.
But each woman encourages all voters to get the facts.
“Turn on the news on your television on your smartphone or your computer and you can get news,” said Roberts. ” You have to make some sort of selection. You have to get someone who is as close to a neutral purveyor as possible.”
Especially since women voters will be a strong percentage of those heading to the polls.
“We are key to making this country come back together again and work together again,” said Roberts.
Early voting is going on now across Middle Georgia.
