Woman in critical condition, man in custody after Thursday night shooting in south Macon
Deputies responded to the scene after a call came in at 11:38 p.m.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman is in the hospital in critical condition and a man is in custody after a shooting Thursday night in south Macon.
According to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release, a call came in just before midnight regarding a person shot. Deputies responded to the 4000 block of San Juan Avenue and found a 43-year-old woman with a gunshot wound. Paramedics took her to the hospital.
During the investigation, deputies identified 41-year-old Troy Denard Daniels of Macon as the suspect and took him into custody. A weapon connected to the shooting was recovered from the scene. Daniels was taken to the Bibb County Jail, where he’s charged with aggravated assault and is being held without bond.
