Woman arrested for stabbing Dublin man to death

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman is in jail, accused of stabbing a man to death during an argument Saturday night in Dublin.

According to an incident report, Dublin police found 26-year-old Jefferey Edmond lying on Carver Street around 11:30 p.m. He had several stab wounds. A group of people was surrounding Edmond trying to help him.

The responding officer, and other people tried to save Edmond but were unable. He died a short time later.

Police arrested 27-year-old Brenda Rozier and charged her in connection to the murder. Police Chief Tim Chatman says the investigation is ongoing but called the homicide a “domestic situation” and that the victim passed away as a result of anger. Rozier is currently in the Laurens County Jail.

This was the first of two homicides in as many days. On Sunday, a 20-year-old man was shot to death by a friend.
