Wilkinson hands Tattnall Square first home loss

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Wilkinson County scored as many points in the third quarter (33) as Tattnall Square had (33) at the start of the fourth.

It was that kind of night for the Warriors (9-2), who cruised to a 71-46 win against the region newcomers.

Tattnall (11-2) trailed by nine at halftime but quickly fell behind in the third. The Warriors’ full-court press limited the Trojans’ possessions, and when the Trojans did have the ball, it usually wasn’t for long.

“That’s what championship teams do,” says Wilkinson County coach Aaron Geter. “They limit your possessions and try on the other end to execute what they want and do what they do well.”

The Warriors play at Twiggs County Friday. Tattnall hosts Pinecrest.
