Wedge of cool air to keep temperatures well below average
MACON, Georgia. (41NBC/WMGT)- A wedge of cool air will keep temperatures upwards of 20° below normal over the next couple of afternoons.
A cloudy sky is expected for much of the day today as temperatures are forecast to fall throughout the afternoon. We will be dealing with scattered showers as well. Tonight we will watch as temperatures fall into the upper 40’s under a mostly cloudy sky. Rain will continue through the overnight.
A very strong wedge will be in play again tomorrow which means temperatures will only make it into the low and middle 60’s for most of us. Rain coverage will be isolated tomorrow.
FRIDAY & BEYOND.
The return of sunshine is here just in time for the final day of the work week. Temperatures will begin their climb as well. Highs are forecast to be in the middle 70’s by Friday afternoon with the middle 80’s on the way by early next week. Our next shot of rain looks to hold off until Tuesday of next week.
