Warner Robins fugitive caught in Connecticut by U.S. Marshals

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Warner Robins man wanted for cutting a man’s throat and stabbing another man is now behind bars.

The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force located Juan Cordova Sanchez in Elliot, Connecticut.

Federal marshals arrested Sanchez Wednesday, while he was at work, according to the supervisor of the task force John Edgar. Edgar added, the fugitive was taken into custody without incident.

Sanchez is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault.

The incident happened on Oct. 25, 2009, at 2:58 a.m., in the 900 block of Oak Avenue, in Warner Robins.

According to authorities, Sanchez is accused of slicing then, 36-year-old Ronnie Jean Ortiz throat and stabbing then 28-year-old Jose Castellano Gonzalez.

He ran away and was able to elude capture until Wednesday.

The task force arrested Sanchez on two aggravated assault warrants and misdemeanor warrants.

Sanchez is currently being held in the Hartford Correctional Facility awaiting extradition.
