UPDATE: Bibb deputies looking for person of interest in Shurling Drive shooting

Bibb County deputies were called to the scene around 3:40 Friday afternoon.

UPDATE: The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has released a photo of a person of interest following a shooting Friday afternoon in east Macon.

Deputies say it happened inside BP Gas, located at 815 Shurling Drive. The image was obtained from the store’s surveillance system.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT-DT) – Deputies are investigating a shooting that left a teenager in critical condition.

Bibb County deputies were called to the scene around 3:40 Friday afternoon, the sheriff’s office says in a new release. They found a 17-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound in the 800 block of Shurling Drive.

Paramedics took the teenager to a local hospital. He’s been listed in critical condition, according to medical staff there.

BCSO says it’s investigating the shooting, and will provide additional information as it becomes available.
