UPDATE: Woman dies after side-by-side hits fallen tree in Jones County
The Jones County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened early Sunday morning and remains under investigation.

UPDATE: According to an update from the sheriff’s office, the crash happened at about 2:30 a.m.
Deputies identified the victim as 31-year-old Allison Schwartz of Forsyth. They say she was riding the side-by-side with her husband when it struck a “very recently fallen” tree in the road.
JONES COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman was killed early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash involving a side-by-side on Barron Russell Road.
The Jones County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post around 4 a.m. that the side-by-side struck a fallen tree in the roadway. The woman died at the scene.
No additional details about the woman or the circumstances surrounding the crash have been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
