Update: Car found in Macon carjacking

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office received a tip on the whereabouts of the stolen red Dodge Durango that was taken from the Macon Garden Apartments Monday night.

Deputies found the vehicle at an abandon house on Dexter Avenue on Mercer University Drive around 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 30.

Two suspects stole a car at about 10 p.m. Monday from the Macon Garden Apartments on Mercer University Drive.
   
The victim told deputies two men approached him and his passenger, hit him in the head with a gun, and sped off in his red 2003 Dodge Durango.

The driver was left with cut on his head, and his passenger was not injured.
